Department Of Transport

location: UITP Dubai
date: 11.-13.04.2011

For their long-term client, the Department of Transport of the Emirate Abu Dhabi, Sam Katiela and his mamemo productions team created a breathtaking concept for an exhibition stand at the UITP that was held in Dubai from 11.-13- April 2011. The biggest attraction on the stand was the holo-deck, an outstanding multimedia installation realized with Ventuz. When each group of visitors entered the hydraulic lift up to the second level, they were immediately immersed in a 360° and 270° vertical landscape of dramatic images and animations, telling the story of the Department of Transport and the core subject “mobility”. 12 meters being the length of each of the sides and 3.90 meters high, the holo-deck was the biggest attraction on the entire exhibition and drew hundreds of visitors daily. Another eye catcher was the so called multi-user-interface (MUI) media table, a strategic communication tool that outlined DoT initiatives through 8 interactive touch screen panels. Through a smartly designed and well thought out Ventuz interface the media table allowed visitors either independent navigation through all the projects planned by DoT or a guided tour where a DoT representative controlled the content on all screens through one dedicated control screen.
